Congrats guys !!!! If I may ask, whats happened to old folk and chairman like Dick Hearns, etc Are they still part of the supporters club and attend events ???
Congrats to the new chairman and good luck to you and your committee.
As for the old guys....
Brian Hudson who was the first chairman, is no longer part of the club. I dont know why he left to be very honest. He used to do some work for my company in SA, and he seemed to lose the passion for the supporters club.
I still chat to Dick Hearns occasionally. He stopped coming to the club shortly after I took over as chairman and moved the club from Jeppe Quondam to Grand Slam. Dick has become very religious, and does not like to attend pubs or bars, so that was his reason for leaving.
As for me, I stepped down for similar reasons to Blade. I had been there for too long, the club needed new ideas and fresh blood, and although I stayed a member, I stepped down from the committee and Elli took over. (I like to believe I did an okay job) I am now still a supporters club member, but live in Australia so am never at events.
As for Blade, we all know everything we need to know about his running of the club. A fantastic job was done in my opinion, and as we all know, he is still around.
