Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez isn't impressed by the frequency of their Monday night appearances in the weeks to come.
The Merseysiders hope to continue a recent upturn in results at Wigan tomorrow as they have just three Saturday fixtures left in the Premier League this season, partially due to their participation in the Europa League.
Benitez thinks that gives his side a disadvantage in the race for fourth.
"I don't like the situation because the TV is taking our team too much on Mondays," said Benitez.
"We can't change it, but there are a lot of teams in the Premier League and we're playing three more times on Monday. It's not the best for us.
"Clearly we'd prefer to play on Sunday after we've played in the Europa League, not on Monday after every other team."
Benitez must travel to the DW Stadium without knee injury victim Martin Skrtel, but Fernando Torres is likely to continue his comeback by leading the attack.
