Here's some info for those who don't know him (courtesy of a lad on ynwa.tv)
So he is 30 years old and has recently played for Juventus. He has been there since 2008 and before that he played two years in Spain in Sevilla.
As a regular for Sevilla he scored four goals. His move to Sevilla was engineered through four years of hard work in Schalke 04 who had snapped him up from FC Copenhagen four year before. He is a defensive midfielder who specializes in breaking up the flow of the opponent team. While Mascherano dives into tackles Poulsen is far more slow but may provide more physicality. He is good in the air and has scored more than a handful important goals for the Danish national team. Along with Agger and Bendtner, Poulsen is the biggest star in Denmark.
Poulsen can occasionally deliver a sweet pass but mostly you use him in front of your defense and to protect the flanks for when your fullbacks are attacking. He has a mean temper, best illustrated by the infamous Denmark-Sweden game i 2007.
Very important classic qualifier against old foes from Sweden Denmark went down 3-0 at halftime. After a crazy comeback the score was 3-3 four minutes from time. But during a Swedish cornerkick four minutes from time, Poulsen was caught punching former HSV-striker Marcus Rosenberg in stomach. The ref gave Sweden a penalty and what happened afterwards was just such a shame.
In EURO2004 Poulsen was also a receiver of a Totti-spat. Afterwards Totti said that Poulsen was the most despicable player he has ever faced, whatever that means.
